The third quarterly ‘District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee’ (DISHA) meeting conducted at Changlang

Changlang, February 25, 2020: The third quarterly District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting was held today at DC’s Conference hall under the chairmanship of Hon’ble Member of Parliament Arunachal East and Chairman, DISHA Eastern Zone Tapir Gao. The Hon’ble Deputy Speaker AP Legislative Assembly Tesam Pongte and Hon’ble MLAs, Phosum Khimhun, Laisam Simai, Tanpho Wangnaw, Gabriel D. Wangsu, Wanglam Sawin, Smt Chakat Aboh and Kento Rina also attended the meeting. Also present were DC Changlang, Member Secretary DISHA R.K Sharma and DC Lohit, Nodal officer DISHA Prince Dhawan, DC Tirap, DC Longding, DC Namsai, ADCs, PDs, DPOs and other officials from the eastern zone. Proper implementation and speedy completion of the PMGSY, NSAP and Credit linked subsidy welder schemes, framing of viable schemes/projects in the Agriculture, Horticulture and allied departments were the main highlights of the meeting.
Various issues on physical/financial progress and details of works undertaken so far under various government schemes were discussed like GNREGA, DDAY, DDUGKY, PMGSY, NSAP, PMAY, SBM, NRDWP, PMKSY(HKKP), command area development and water management programme, PMAGY, PMEGP, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Implementation of NFSA and (HRIDAY) Heritage City Development and augmentation yojana, Smart Cities Mission.
Officials from all implementing agencies presented detailed PPTs on the schemes implemented by them accordingly.
At the end Deputy Speaker expressed gratitude to everyone for attending the meeting, appealed to the Chairman DISHA to take up all issues hampering development at the centre level, and requested the Chairman to take up the pending issues of setting up of Sainik schools and Sports Academy in the eastern districts.
Concluding the meeting, Chairman DISHA promised to take up all issues at appropriate level and requested all officials and members of DISHA to attend the fourth quarterly meeting, which will be held at Yingkiong.
