Changlang District conducts 2nd Quaterly DLMC Meeting on sustainable development goals

Changlang, October 20, 2021: The 2nd Quarterly DLMC Meeting was convened on October 20, 2021 under Chairmanship of the DC cum Chairman DLMC Changlang district with participation of HMLA Changlang South Shri Phosum Kimhun, HMLA Bordumsa-Diyun Shri Samlung Mossang, Changlang ZPC, administrative officers, PRI Leaders, HoDs from working departments and Agriculture and Allied Departments.

The DPO cum Member Secretary DLMC Shri Shamee Timba gave a detailed presentation on Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) viz, origin, concept, objectives and performance of the District vis-à-vis the State & National Score as per Niti Aayog.

The Chairman while reviewing the performance of all departments in the 1st & 2nd quarter through detailed Power point Presentations exhorted the departmental heads to give special focus on achieving the SDG Goals for holistic development of the District in particular and improving the State’s rankings in the National level. Special emphasis was given on effective implementation of Agriculture & Allied Sectors related developmental schemes, rural poverty alleviation schemes and environmental protection measures as envisaged in the SDGs. He further advised all the working departments to come up with viable projects in such Monitoring meetings for better outcome and effective implementation at ground level. The Meeting ended with valuable suggestions and feedbacks from the HMLAs and ZPC.
